When people think about eating disorders, they often think of anorexia (drastically limiting food intake) or bulimia (usually purging after eating, but can also include over-exercising or using laxatives or diet pills).
But disordered eating can also look like skipping meals during the day and overeating in the evening, snacking constantly even when you’re not hungry, or eating because you feel a strong emotion or want to change or avoid the way you’re feeling. You might also feel guilty, ashamed, frustrated, or disappointed after eating or about your physical appearance.
If any of these symptoms sound familiar, we can help you develop and practice a healthier relationship with food and your body image. Kitty specializes in treating eating disorders and is also a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, and Jessica specializes in treating binge eating disorder.
