Jessica Powers, LPC, CADC-II

jessica powers I have been helping people with anxiety, addictions, ADHD, and eating disorders since 2015, and can provide you with virtual counseling if you are anywhere in the state of Oregon!

I believe that regardless of what we have done or been through in the past, we can all live the life we want, both now and in the future. I can help you learn and grow from your experiences, and provide the safety and comfort in our sessions together that give you the confidence to follow through on the changes you want to make.

My approach is cognitive-behavioral, meaning that I am listening for negative thoughts that we can challenge and reframe more positively (cognitive), as well as things that you can do (behavioral) to feel less anxious and more hopeful, and to take good care of yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically. I may also suggest many ideas from dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), which is a kind of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) that focuses on mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

In the state of Oregon, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am currently in-network with PacificSource, Providence, and Regence/BCBS of Oregon health plans. As an Approved Supervisor Candidate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and therapists, I also offer clinical supervision for post-degree Registered Counselor Associates.
